Step 1: Your Inspiration Board (Or Even Just a Screenshot)

Whether it’s a Pinterest board, a screenshot from Instagram, or a blurry photo from your friend’s dinner party we start where you are.

We’ll ask:

What do you love about this piece?
What do you want it to feel like in your space?
What story should it tell?

Because design doesn’t begin with specs.

Step 2: A One-on-One Consultation with the Maker

This is where your vision meets our expertise.

We’ll hop on a call (or meet in person if you’re local to Edmonton) and walk through:

Your lifestyle: kids, pets, daily use
Your space: dimensions, lighting, layout
Your needs: shape, size, seating

We’ll recommend woods, finishes, and construction techniques based on what works not just what looks good on Instagram.

Step 3: Design, Sketch, Quote

Once we understand your needs, we move to the drawing board.

You’ll receive:

A digital design mockup (or sketch, depending on the complexity)
A breakdown of materials (e.g. kiln-dried white oak, matte polyurethane)

Step 4: Your Table Gets Built (By Real Hands)

Every YEG Woodcraft table is handcrafted right here in Edmonton by our lead builder, Sir Jarette.

We mill and prepare the hardwood
Shape, sand, joint and assemble with care
Apply your chosen finish (polyurethane, oil, etc.)

Timeline? It depends on design and wood type, but most pieces take 6–10 weeks.
And yes you’ll get photo updates along the way.

Step 5: Final Touches & Quality Check

Before we deliver, we inspect every detail:

Smoothness of the finish
Flush joints and stable legs
Protective packaging for delivery
Finish curing and care instructions

Step 6: Delivery or Pickup

If you're local to Edmonton, we’ll personally deliver and set up your table.
Further away? We’ll work with trusted shippers to get your piece to you safely and securely.
